Setakel Limited -  Ethical & Environmental Forestry Investment and International Timber Trading.

Setakel specialises in planting, maintenance, thinning, processing and trading of tropical trees in sustainably managed plantations. From the by-products of the plantation (bark, sawdust, wood chips…) we produce wood pellets and briquettes in to order to use to the full wood products.

Setakel Limited is also actively involved in providing solutions for clean and commercially viable biofuel production. We have selected to grow Jatropha, by far the leading "green oil". 

We plant in an ethical and environmentally responsible way. Our plantations are located on deforested lands and we plan to produce high-quality timber using the best silviculture, environmental and social practices.

As a company with high ethics, we employ local farmers in our plantations and pay them fair wages. We promote local development and welfare and discourage rural exodus which is very high in the region. We are actively involved with Fundación Takeli, a local ONG dedicated to building schools and promoting education in rural areas.
