Wood Briquettes

Our wood briquettes are made of hardwood from sustainable sources. They don’t burn with a massive flame, but they do glow and the heat output is incredible. They are extremely long lasting and give lots of heat.
Wood Briquettes are used as an ecologically-clean fuel. The quantity of ashes at combustion of Wood Briquettes is much lower than the quantity of ashes at combustion of other fuels.
Wood Briquettes are a natural product with no additives or binders of any type. They do not create black soot and on average emit only one third of the smoke of a coal fire. They are very low in sulphur emissions too, which means that they contribute to reducing acid rain and so are kinder to the environment all round.
A big benefit of Wood Briquettes is the constancy of temperature at combustion that can last up to 4 hours. A positive aspect of the use of Wood Briquettes as fuel is their minimal influence on the environment in comparison with other fuels while maintaining identical heat-generating ability as, for example, coal, but with 15 times less resultant ash (about 1.5 %), which can be used as a mineral fertiliser.
Wood Briquettes are extremely flexible. They are more reactive than coal, making them much easier to light. They can be used in domestic fires, with or without back boilers- and are ideal in solid fuel cookers and closed stoves.
