As a Project Developer we are currently developing a Certified Emission Reduction (CER) Carbon Offsetting Project in Blitta (Central Togo) for the International Carbon Credit market. The project will carry the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) stamp of compliance and will meet the strict standards of the Kyoto Protocol.

The project involves establishing commercial forests on degraded grassland in the region in collaboration with local smallholders. The rational behind the project is to create a framework for the locals so that they can take care of the environment and make a decent living.

Using our Sustainable Forest Management Policy, we will finance the seedling, the material, training and management of the project. We seek to combine afforestation, reforestation and agroforestry activities to boost the biodiversity and ecosystems of the area. Part of the proceeds will be used to finance local infrastructure projects such as road building and maintenance, the construction of hospitals, schools, libraries.
